Carbon dioxide . The world is no longer in panic about the ozone layer - but its now in a panic over global warm ing. Great that our Aussie leaders are not in a panic. Kyoto or any huge inernational agreement , if it is really important for the long term, can wait for the facts to come in .

The facts about carboxylation, ocean buffering capacity, glacial and heat balance drivers , the importance of wood products and such basic possibilities as carbon recycling and storage . After all , in less than one year many greens have really cooled on the former imperative idea of plantationss the answer to future wood production.
Since when has panic been a good idea? esp when any change of direction will take a great deal of time and conviction . I as a scientist remain unconvinced .
